--Part 2: The Plot

Megabyte had left Dot, and the beginnings of his long, winding plan had been implemented, but he had not abandoned his new bastion of the Principal Office - he wasn’t that foolish. This left Bob, Matrix, AndrAIa, Dot, Hack, Slash and Mouse locked out of Mainframe’s powerhouse, and little Enzo, Welman Matrix and Phong locked in the cage with the tiger, along with many other innocent binomes. It was not good.

“And he just went? Like that?” Matrix asked his sister as he and Bob met up with her, Hack and Slash in the halls of the Principal office.

Dot nodded, rubbing her temples. “I don’t think he’s done with us,” she said. “You know him. He’ll have something planned.”

Bob nodded in agreement at this and they were cautious as they made their way along the dark and empty hallways.

“We’ve got to find Enzo and dad fast,” she went on. “Who knows what he might have done with them.”

“And AndrAIa and Mouse are still out there,” Matrix hastened to add.

“Yes, and them too,” Dot agreed, biting her lip. The corridors were so quiet that it scared her, and she couldn't help but imagine that Megabyte's red pupils were staring out at her from ever dark corner...
